This was a good book for the RN who is returning to a Baccalaureate program and seeking the BSN degree. I am a current student in the RN-to BSN program at Chamberlain University online. I especially liked the real-life scenarios that were at the beginning of each chapter. The scenarios made for very interesting class discussions each week of class. This is the 8th edition and this (Spring semester 2018) will be the last semester it will be used. The 9th edition is now out and will be used for upcoming semesters at Chamberlain University online RN-to-BSN program. The book is wordy at times but for the most part is a good nursing reference for any nurse returning to school young or older and especially after 10 or more years absence. I hope my review will help any nursing already practicing in the profession or future nurse to become better at his/her craft and maybe even develop a passion for nursing all over again.
The class is total BS. The book is as described. The ANA should be boycotted for forcing good, competent nurses to forfeit time and money on Bachelor programs that add absolutely nothing to your skill set.
No page numbers make use and citation of this book painful at best. There is no excuse for this problem noted by many, not being fixed.
The pages on this download do not have numbers. That's not helpful when you cite from it. Look for a eBook that states pages are numbered!

Had to purchase this book for school it does not help that the pages of the book are not numbered . That needs to be revised . When given specific pages to read for am assignment one don't know where to look
